Marine Surveys And Consultancy

We carry out surveys on behalf of various underwriters, Marine Warranty Surveyors and other stake holders. Our expertise extends beyond vessel surveys, as we also specialise in various types of Cargo surveys whilst representing Charterers, Stevedores and vessel Owners.

We have a specialised team within our company to carry out various surveys and inspections onboard ship's calling Indian Ports. Our team comprises of Master Mariners, Marine Engineers and Naval Architects.

Our Services Include The Following, But By No Means Are Limited To Them:

  1. Inspection and re-inspection of the vessel that has incurred a damage or any sort of loss
  2. Investigate and inspect the causes and circumstances under which the loss has taken place. This would also include, investigation of the extent of loss, nature of ownership and insurable interest
  3. Conduct spot and final surveys, as and when necessary and comment upon franchise, excess/under insurance and any other related matter.
  4. Estimate and determine the quantum and detail of the subject under loss
  5. Expert advise to the insurer and the insured about loss minimisation, loss control, safety measures wherever appropriate to avoid further losses
  6. Comment on the admissibility of the loss and also on the observation of warranty conditions under the policy contract
  7. Survey and assess the loss on behalf of insurer or insured.
  8. Assess liability under the contract of insurance.
  9. Point out discrepancy, if any, in the policy wordings.
  10. Satisfy queries of the insured/insurer and of persons connected thereto in respect of the claim/loss.
  11. Recommend applicability of depreciation and the percentage and quantum of depreciation.
  12. Give reasons for repudiation of claim, in case the claim is not covered by policy terms and conditions.
  13. Comment on salvage and its disposal wherever necessary.
